Welcome to my view on life. My beautiful future wife created this site for me as an early Christmas present. (I think she was tired of me saying I was going to create a website sometime……) no really she is so thoughtful; this has to be the best Christmas present I ever received.
This website is a compilation of the pictures I have taken during my travels. I am very lucky to have a job that allows me to travel the world. Or you might say I searched for a job that would allow me to travel the world because I have always been a gypsy at heart. Growing up I always knew that I would see the world and experience the cultures. I was never content with just my neighborhood…..
As many of my friends know I suck when it comes to words. I can’t spell and I am not creative enough to create a blog based on words alone. Some people are gifted in this area (If you want to travel the world with us and visualize it in your head read Lauren’s Blog. She brings our travels alive with just mere words.) Me I have to do it with pictures…….
Growing up my Mom taught me to look at the world a little differently. I hope I bring this across in my pictures. I try to show you how I see the world, just a little different ;-)
I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoyed taking them, cheers! Bear with me as I learn, I hope each new post brings better pictures than the one before.

Neuschwanstein Castle : Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner. Contrary to common belief, Ludwig paid for the palace out of his personal fortune and extensive borrowing, not with Bavarian public funds. The palace was intended as a personal refuge for the reclusive king, but it was opened to the paying public immediately after his death in 1886. Since then over 60 million people have visited Neuschwanstein Castle. More than 1.3 million people visit annually, with up to 6,000 per day in the summer. The palace has appeared prominently in several movies and was the inspiration for Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle and later, similar structures.

Krampus acts as an anti–Saint Nicholas, who, instead of giving gifts to good children, gives warnings and punishments to the bad children. Untersberg : According to legend Emperor Frederick Barbarossa (of the Holy Roman Empire) is asleep inside Untersberg, taken care of by the "Untersberger Mandln", small dwarf-like creatures. His beard is said to be growing longer and longer around a round table and to have grown round two times. Myth says that when the beard has grown three times around the table the end of world has come. Every hundred years he awakes and when he sees the ravens still flying around the Untersberg he sleeps for another century. When Frederik leaves the mountain, the last great battle of humankind will be fought on the Walserfeld. This is a field at Wals, west of Salzburg. There is a similar legend for the Kyffhäuser Mountain in Thüringen. Other legends say that it is Karl der Große Charlemagne waiting inside the Untersberg There are also legends about the cave system below the mountain. There is a lake in 930 meters depth. An expedition in August 2008 revealed that its lowest point had not yet been reached.

Penang : The island of Penang was referred to as Bīnláng Yù (檳榔嶼, 槟榔屿) in the navigational drawings used by Admiral Zheng He of Ming-dynasty China in his 15th century expeditions to the South Seas. Fifteenth-century Portuguese sailors from Goa en route to the Spice Islands often made stopovers on the island which they called Pulo Pinaom. Early Malays called it Pulau Ka-Satu or "First Island", owing to the fact that it was the largest island encountered on the trading sea-route between Lingga and Kedah. Hua Hin : Hua Hin (Thai: หัวหิน, IPA: [hǔə hǐn]) is a famous beach resort town in Thailand, in the northern part of the Malay Peninsula, some 200 km south of Bangkok. It has a population of 84,883 in an area of 911 km², and is one of eight districts (Amphoe) of the Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Includes pictures from Phra Nakhon Khiri (Thai: อุทยานประวัติศาสตร์พระนครคีรี) is a historical park in Phetchaburi, Thailand, located on a hill overlooking the city. The name Phra Nakhon Khiri means Holy City Hill, but locals know it better as Khao Wang, meaning hill with palace. The park consists of three building groups, located on the three peaks of the 92m high hill. On the western peak is the actual palace with adjoining structures. The middle or central peak is a big chedi named Phra That Chom Phet. The eastern peak houses the Wat Phra Kaeo, the royal temple, built in similar fashion to the Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok. The whole complex was built as a summer palace by King Mongkut, with construction finished in 1860.
